Full Moons (2019 - 2026) is part of my ongoing Tide project and brings together photographs of every full moon I have taken over the past seven years. What began in 2019 as a way of tracking and imaging the moon grew into a monthly ritual, especially meaningful during the first lockdown, when it was something I could continue from my garden while unable to travel to the coast. Each photograph is paired with text, date, and location taken directly from the Instagram posts where I first shared them - short reflections written like journal entries. Alongside the images, the work draws on the folklore names given to each full moon, blending cycles of nature with personal observation. Moving this collection from the screen onto the gallery wall during my residency at Yeovil Art Space (2025) gave new form to a practice rooted in ritual, reflection, and shared experience. The Full Moon series has been published monthly (weather allowing) via my Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/carolynlefley/
